in mind

Its funny how you can miss something more when its gone. How funny that you can be happy but still want more. Life as it is i suppose.

lost

There are times when you wonder what you got yourself into. I had 6 appointments of pick ups to do for a magazine shoot yesterday. Pretty much in every corner of London. Somewhere on my 5th i got lost, somewhere between Portobello Market and Notting Hill. Completely. And it was raining. Pouring. And me with bags of shoes, mascara running and soaked shoes. 2 hours of confusion, and we realized my stylist text me the wrong address. It was Wornington st, she texted Mornington. M! And i almost ended up in Greenford. I have never ending returns to do.

take a deep breath

Its stress on high level like never before. Im trying to balance 2 jobs, assisting and final weeks at uni. And trying to pull a shoot together doesnt seem to be working at all for tomorrow. It has to be moved until Monday. Which means less time for all the other crazy stuff i have to do.

To take my mind of it, we had a special occasion at work tonight. The City was having a launch party at Armani Exchange together with MTV and Grazia magazine for the launch of series 3. There were cocktails, canapes and Krispy creme donuts. I had to work, so no drinking or eating. Not even mingeling. Stay professional, look fantastic. Although we had a sneak to the fits to have a sip! There was a red carpet and celebrities, not Madonna but Freddie from Skins. Love. We got a goodie bag and a beer, 4 very hardworking hours.

somewhere between guilford and nowhere

My first and real experience as an assistant was a 1 and a half hour drive away from London. The location was country side. The theme was gypsy going on festival. There was a bonfire, a tent with a bed, 12 people and a massive amount of clothes. We arrived in the afternoon, prepping until 11.30pm (make-up, hair, fitting) and we started shooting at 12, in the evening, and finished at 7.30 in the morning. After being up for 27 hours i finally got some sleep. Today i have an awful cold and its a sunny 27 degrees London outside.
